Developer Bright Realty has started construction on another office building in its Castle Hills community in Lewisville.
The four-story Crown Centre in Castle Hills is the first phase of a 135-acre office campus at State Highway 121 and Carrollton Parkway.
The 109,000 square-foot building will open in mid-2020 and was designed by Dallas-based architect Corgan.
“Crown Centre is a testament to space planning innovation and office floor plate efficiency,” Corgan architect Matt McDonald said in a statement. “Every building corner is unique, which offers tremendous opportunities for whole-floor and smaller office suite tenants to tailor the site and make the space truly a unique environment.”
The new office campus includes a lake with outdoor seating and green space.
The Crown Centre building comes on the heels of Bright Realty’s new Realm at Castle Hills office building, which is under construction and opens later this year.
“The Castle Hills area along 121 offers office tenants easy access to DFW Airport, an abundant supply of varied housing products and outstanding schools for companies relocating to the area or those looking to upgrade to a new, modern office building,” Chris Bright, Bright Realty CEO, said in a statement. “While there is a lot of office construction in D-FW, there is also a lot of activity, as we lead the nation in job growth.”
505Design was the masterplan architect for the Crown Centre campus. The general contractor is Hill & Wilkinson. Prosperity Bank provided the funding.
Castle Hills is just west of the Grandscape development anchored by Nebraska Furniture Mart on State Highway 121.
The $3 billion Legacy West development with office campuses for Toyota, Liberty Mutual Insurance, JPMorgan Chase and FedEx Office is farther east along Highway 121 near the Dallas North Tollway.
Castle Hills was started in the 1980s and is one of the area’s most successful residential communities.
